Easy Snack and Meal Ideas for Spring Break.

Happy Spring! Spring Break is fast-approaching! If you are anything  like me, with a growing family, snacks that are super complicated and have multiple steps are not the easiest to pull off. I have five kids and I like to have quick, healthy snacks for my kids on breaks like Spring Break! I usually try to do organic as much as possible for items that are most affected by pesticides. My favorites are listed below! Happy Spring-ing! What are some of your favorite kid snacks and easy meals for #SpringBreak? I would love to hear them below in the comments!

Easy Spring Break Snack and Easy Meal Ideas

Easy-peel clementines

Platter with Brie cheese, strawberries or grapes,(grapes for children over 3), crackers, apple slices (MY KIDS LOVE THIS!)

Sourdough bread toasted in oven with olive oil drizzle, parmesan cheese, garlic powder and italian seasoning. (My kids love it.)

Stovetop popcorn popped with olive oil AND butter with sea salt to taste. ( When my BFFs come over with their kiddies we do this and the kids love it. You can also add parmesan cheese and any type of herb sprinkle you like! Or try it with hot sauce and squirts of lime. I call these versions grown folks’ popcorn.)

Nacho bar! Get your cookie sheet and layer tortilla chips, shredded cheese and even cooked ground turkey (can do vegetarian option). Toast until warm, take out of oven,add your toppings and serve immediately! Some ideas: Diced tomatoes, avocado, chopped green onions, olives. Enjoy!

Mini Corn-Dog muffins. Take your batter and set a  mini sausages such as a “little smokie” inside. Bake muffin according to directions.

Oatmeal Raisin cookies

Chili    So many options!!  Crockpot it and let it cook all day. Add your fixings and YUM!!! Can do a turkey chili, a vegetarian chili or even a vegan chili! Might have some tomorrow! Yessss!!

Almonds, cashews, walnuts, and dried cranberries

Turkey meatballs

Turkey and cheddar roll ups

Berries. Lots of them. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries! Delicious and packed with nutrients.

Chips and Salsa or Guacamole

Roasted Red Pepper Soup (A HIT at my house!)

Ground turkey spaghetti w/ salad

Shredded Chicken Salad: Grab a big tub of spring mix salad, rinse. Shred cooked chicken on top. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped mini peppers, sliced green onions, shredded carrots etc and toss with your favorite dressing. I love to add cheese to it and sprinkle some herbs on it.This feeds a crowd!

Bread in a bread cooker or in a pan. Will write a post about this soon.

Homemade yogurt and juice popsicles

Frozen Banana “ice cream”

Braised Kale, mini peppers, ground turkey.

Soft tacos

Protein and a vegetable.(I.e. Chicken and broccoli) Can also be over a grain.

Quick quesadillas

Crockpot carnitas

Breakfast burritos


Salsa chicken in the crockpot. Easy peasy!! You can use it over rice, inside of soft tacos or tostadas, burritos and more. You can also take a tortilla and roll it up with the salsa chicken inside and add cheese. Yum!

White chicken chili in the crockpot. Yessssss Lord!

For drinks we do water or home made lemonade or lime made sweetened with honey. We also make pitchers of kid friendly herbal tea, sweeten with honey and stick them in the fridge. The kids love it! (Disclaimer:Please do not give honey to children under 1 year old.)
